AIMS Posits A Positive Outlook for 2021

  • As a key data centre player in ASEAN, the AIMS Group will continue to support digital transformation and business sustainability for the region.
  • Emerging disruptive technologies in tandem with pandemic – accelerated business recovery and transformation plans in 2021 present major growth opportunities.
  • Analysts highlight that ASEAN’s insatiable demand for secured big data in the “new normal” will drive data centre industry growth.

Kuala Lumpur, 3 February 2021 – The AIMS Group (“AIMS”) – Southeast Asia’s leading carrier-neutral data centre services provider, is optimistic on the growth of the data centre industry in 2021, citing multiple opportunities fueled by surging demands for data and cloud services to support digital transformation and business sustainability in Malaysia and the region.

Positioned as one of the fastest growing regions in the world, Southeast Asia offers ease of access, a lower cost of entry, and a fast-growing base of tech-savvy consumers to drive storage needs. With that said, AIMS will continue to bolster and expand its regional and local data centre presence with its interlinked data centres across Southeast Asia.

AIMS’ recent expansion into Thailand with AIMS Bangkok, a carrier-neutral data centre, affords the same highly diverse ecosystem synonymous with the AIMS name. Along with its comprehensive points of connection throughout the region and to the world, AIMS has the potential to attract global players looking to establish their businesses in ASEAN.

Recognition of AIMS as a key data centre player in the region was again recently reflected in IDC’s 2020 APEJ Data Centre Operations and Management Marketscape report and through receiving the Frost & Sullivan’s Best Practices Award 2020 for Data Centre Service Provider of
