One of the factors for the demand of data centre arises from the potential for continued remote work amidst the “new normal”. This contributes to Gartner's estimated 6% increase in global IT spending growth to USD200 billion during 2021, and expected revenue growth of more than USD800 million by 2025 for Malaysia's data centre sector.

Furthermore, according to Frost & Sullivan , emerging disruptive technologies such as AI and automation, and demand for secured big data to drive digital transformation and business sustainability in ASEAN, will fuel data centre industry growth as well.
